Contech Enterprises took an exciting step towards a greater presence in the pet product and veterinary industry today with the acquisition of G&B Marketing Inc.

“We are thrilled to have G&B Marketing join the Contech team” said Contech president and CEO Mark Grambart. “Contech has had great success in the pet product industry with our EatBetter and DrinkBetter bowls and pet wellness products such as the WaterDog automatic outdoor water fountain. G&B’s passion for innovation and quality products such as the ProCollar and ProCone are a natural fit with our existing product line and this acquisition gives us access to distribution opportunities in the veterinary industry that we haven’t previously explored” said Grambart.

“It’s an exciting time for us as we join the Contech Inc. family” said G&B founder, Curt Gibson. “The timing couldn’t be better. In August we will be launching our new version of ProCollar with new easy care fabrics, sustained durability and a new XXL size. Also in August we will be launching our new ProCone soft recovery collar. Joining Contech is a strategic move that gives us access to a powerful sales and marketing engine which will improve our sales and service capabilities” says Gibson, who, prior to founding G&B, held senior management and senior consulting positions with Petco, Veterinary Centers of America and Nestle Purina.

Located outside of San Diego, G&B Marketing Inc. was founded in 1998 with the goal of improving pet health. G&B’s products have unique characteristics, while keeping pet's comfort in mind. Included in G&B great line of products are: the ProCollar, an inflatable collar for pets that is used to prevent pets from bending their necks to chew injured or surgical areas, the soon to be launched ProCone, a soft, flexible alternative to the rigid cone, and the Tick Twister, a patented, effective, low-cost product that removes ticks from pets.

G&B’s leadership team have joined Contech. Chad Gibson and Jen Barrelli run Contech’s pet and vet business, while Curt Gibson will continue to advise and support Contech’s pet team and will help with future acquisitions in the pet and vet industry.
