ChatterBowl® Set Up
To set up the ChatterBowl:™
Installing Batteries:
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, open the battery door located on the back of
the TalkBox. Install 4 ‘AAA’ batteries, according to the polarity indicated.
Close the door and replace the screw.
Recording a message on the TalkBox:
- Press the power button at the bottom of the TalkBox.
- Slide the REC/LOCK button to the REC position.
- Press the REC button to record your message, up to 10 seconds. Your mouth should
be 2-3 inches from the microphone (labeled MIC).
- Slide the REC/LOCK button back to LOCK.
Installing the TalkBox in the bowl:
Slide the TalkBox into the back of the bowl without letting the two halves of the
Velcro touch. Be sure to slide it high enough so the photocell “eye”
above the ChatterBowl logo is visible through the clear lens in the bowl. Once the
TalkBox is at the top of the bowl push it firmly against the Velcro to secure it.
Your voice message will now play whenever your pet approaches the bowl to eat or
drink. The TalkBox is easily removable for cleaning the bowl.
