DrinkBetter® Frequently Asked Questions

My dog vomits after drinking.
Many dogs drink their water too fast and this often causes them to regurgitate
the water after drinking. This is a common problem with big and small dogs alike.
With a unique floater in place, the Drink Better bowl alleviates this problem by
moderating the amount of water accessible to your dog. Water flows out in small
amounts through the small “wishbone” design opening in the centre. By
moderating the water intake, this wet bowl helps to cultivate healthier drinking
habits in your dog.

The drowning ears and dripping wet muzzle drive me nuts.
If your dog is always getting his ears soaked or his muzzle dripping wet,
after drinking from the conventional water bowl, the Drink Better bowl will solve
your problem. Since water flows out in a controlled manner from the centre of the
floater, the rest of the water is well covered under the floater, preventing direct
contact with your dog’s ears and muzzle.

The floor is always wet and messy.
DrinkBetter helps keep your dog’s ears dry and reduces the mess
left after an enthusiastic drinking session. The special design
of the DrinkBetter bowl gives your dog access to only a small amount of water
at a time, reducing the incidence of water mess and wet, muzzle and ears.
Back to Questions
Is the DrinkBetter bowl dishwasher safe?
Yes both the DrinkBetter and EatBetter bowls are dishwasher safe. We recommend placing the bowls on the upper rack of your dishwasher for cleaning.
Back to Questions
What kind of plastic is the DrinkBetter bowl made of?
EatBetter and DrinkBetter bowls are made of safe, food grade plastics.
Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, has been highlighted in the news recently and has been named a toxic substance. It is a component in many hard, clear plastics like those used in re-usable water bottles and baby bottles.
The EatBetter and DrinkBetter bowls are made of a plastic material called K-Resin. The manufacturer of this product, Chevron Philips, states that BPA is NOT used in the process nor is it a raw material of the K-Resin plastic used in these bowls.

How do I adjust the amount of water available in the center of the float?
By varying the amount of water in the float, you can adjust the amount of water in the center available to your dog at any given moment. The more water you place in the float, the heavier it will be, thereby making more water available to your dog.
