What kind of birdfeeder should I use with the SquirrelStop?

Look for a lightweight birdfeeder whose feed openings are not particularly large. Keep in mind the maximum weight for the feeder and seed is ten pounds.

We do not recommend a tray style feeder. You don't want seed flying every time the SquirrelStop spins!

Can I change the amount of time that the SquirrelStop spins?

The spin time is not adjustable. It may take several rotations to convince the squirrel to jump off and then the SquirrelStop slows to a stop over the next 30 seconds.

Will the SquirrelStop hurt the squirrel?

The SquirrelStop will not hurt the squirrel. All of our products are designed to be both effective and humane. Please remember every environment is different and if your feeder is hanging over a cliff or very sharp rocks then the chances are the SquirrelStop won't hurt the squirrel but the landing might. Please hang your SquirrelStop responsibly.
