My SquirrelStop did not have a birdfeeder in the box.
As noted on our website and on the SquirrelStop box itself, a birdfeeder is not included with the SquirrelStop. Many of our customers already have a birdfeeder they are trying to protect. But if you're trying to pick one to use with the SquirrelStop you should look for something lightweight whose feed openings are not particularly large. We do not recommend using an open tray style feeder with the SquirrelStop. You don't want seed flying every time the SquirrelStop spins!
Why is the battery door on the SquirrelStop so hard to open?
The battery door is screwed into the SquirrelStop for a couple of reasons:
1. You don't want the battery door to fly off as the unit is spinning.
2. It's securely fastened to be sure the unit is weatherproof.
