The Tanglefoot Codling Moth Trap helps manage fruit crop damage by luring and trapping moths before they can lay their eggs. Codling moths are among the worst enemies of apples, peaches, pears, crab apples and English walnuts.
The larvae bore into the center of the fruit to feed on the seeds. Damage can be extensive, often involving all fruit on the tree, and control is complicated because the pest produces two generations each year.
The kit comes complete with a pheromone lure. Each kit contains (2) sticky traps, (2) lures in a bag, twist tie hangers and a special tool for removing trapped insects so the trap can be reused. The kit is ideal for monitoring potential infestations.
