Tanglefoot Asphalt Tree Pruning Sealer is a ready-to-use, all weather sealer. It seals pruning cuts and tree wounds and provides a flexible and waterproof seal. The product contains polybutene which acts as a water repellent, helping to keep out moisture while the wound closes. It does not contain any lead, creosote, or turpentine. The paint is thick, but can still be easily applied with a brush.

Tanglefoot Latex Tree Pruning Sealer is a ready-to-use all-weather, latex sealer with its own brush applicator. It provides a long-lasting elastic covering on tree wounds, promotes healing, prevents excessive sap flow and excludes moisture while the wound heals on woody plants and trees. It's preferred by organic gardeners.

For additional help in protecting your trees from injuries caused by pruning, storms, or damage due to small animals or deer, we recommend Tanglefoot Tree Wound and Grafting Compound.
Stir with brush before applying. Apply to cuts or injured surfaces as soon as possible. Caution should be used as the product contains petroleum distillates. Do not use or store near heat or open flame and use only in well ventilated areas. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. In case of contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, obtain medical attention. For skin contact, wash with mineral spirits, then soap and water.
Store only in a cool, dry place, inaccessible to children and pets. Keep tightly closed in original container. Please recycle container when empty. Do not reuse. If recycling is not available, wrap in newspaper and discard in trash.
Apply to cuts or injured surfaces as soon as possible. For tree wounds, clean thoroughly, removing loose pieces of bark, down to healthy wood. Cover the wood with a thick covering to about 2.5" (1cm) beyond the edge of the wound. Use when temperature is above 30 degrees F (-2c). Replace cap when not in use.
Storage and disposal: Keep from freezing. Store only in a cool, dry place, inaccessible to children and pets. Keep tightly closed in original container. Please recycle container when empty. Do not reuse. If recycling is not available, wrap in newspaper and discard in trash.
Clean up: This latex sealer can be removed from skin with soap and water.
