- The weight of the squirrel on top of the feeder starts the SquirrelStop spinning for 20 seconds, which causes the squirrel to jump off.
- Birds, being significantly lighter than squirrels, are unable to trigger the SquirrelStop, even if several birds are on the feeder at the same time.
- Suitable for birdfeeders up to 10 lbs (4.5 kgs) total weight including birdseed.
- Operates on three D-cell batteries.
