Stir before using. Do not apply in wet or freezing weather. Apply Tanglefoot Tree Wound and Grafting Compound to surface with a brush or paddle. Material should retain a thick, paste consistency. If it becomes too thick and heavy, add a small amount of water and mix thoroughly.
Before applying to tree wounds, trim the rough edges and loose bark from around the wound. Take care not to increase the size of the wound. To prevent moisture loss during grafting, apply to cut surfaces of stock and scion immediately after grafting operation.
For tree cavities mix 2 parts compound, 1 part cement, 3 parts sand; mix and apply with trowel.
Provides a seal on pruning cuts preventing excessive sap flow and excluding moisture while the cut closes.
Apply to cut ends of rose canes after pruning bush at the end of season.
Wear gloves, eye protection, long sleeves and long pants when using.
Brushes and tools can be cleaned with water while the compound is still moist. If material is set-up, clean with mineral spirits followed by soap and water.
Keep from freezing and store only in a cool, dry place, inaccessible to children and pets. Keep tightly closed in original container. Wrap and discard in trash. Please recycle.
